Quinte Mall Bridal Show

This weekend I will be at the Quinte Mall for their annual Bridal Show. The show runs from Friday January 22nd at 9:30 until Sunday January 24th at 5pm. I will be located just outside the Cotton Ginny store. Please come by and say hi. The show is spread throughout the mall, and there are complementary goody bags available for upcoming brides.

Celebrity Clowns

Just so you all know, I am sorting through 3000+ photos from just the celebrity clown photos taken at the hotel, not to mention the sponsor floats. After they are all burnt to disc and sent to the lab for printing, then I can get to uploading them to the website. I hope to have all this done by Monday P.M. I know you are all excited to see the photos, but please be patient just a wee bit longer.

Toronto Santa Claus Parade... and PETA

The past weekend in Toronto was the massive Santa Claus Parade. The parade keeps getting bigger each year and as it happens, people try to get in on the action. One observant reporter noticed a stowaway on the Santa float. Since I was photographing the parade, I had some images of who and why they were there!

Its that time of year again and Krysti of Krysti Kakes has gone out of her way to promote the holiday by preparing for Kelly's Shop in fabulous downtown Picton, cupcakes with a Thanksgiving motif. These delicacies, she tells me, were difficult to make, but I'm sure they will be delicious to eat. Make sure you visit Kelly's Shop today, or any Saturday to experience one of Krysti's most awesome cupcakes!

Krysti Kakes for Jenny + Steve's wedding

Last Saturday, I shot the wedding of Jenny and Steve, owners of the Acoustic Bar and Grill in Picton. For their wedding cake, they had Krysti Steenburg h, of Krysti Kakes prepare cupcakes and a small cake. Krysti's cakes are individually crafted to suit each of her clients and for this wedding, she defiantly went all out. Anyone in the need of cakes should give her a shout!

Busy Times

I am of to Toronto for the next week and a half to shoot a jewellery catalog for Birks/Mayors. It also entails a trip down to sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I'll try to post some shoots I did prior to leaving, but might not get around to it 'til I get back.

Colours in the Storm

On Monday August 3rd, I shot the last of this year's plays, Colours in the Storm, being put on by the Festival Players of Prince Edward County. Once again, I had a blast photographing the actors as they performed parts of the play, just for me!!! As with the last two, this one looks as though it will be another fantastic production.

Festival Players: Ship of Fire

So far, I have photographed the two running plays, Ship of Fire and Schoolhouse. Both are excellent plays, put on by the Festival Players. This comes from someone who hasn't seen a play since, oh, I'd say grade 8 when I went to see a Shakespeare play in Stratford. Do yourself a favour and get your buns in some of their seats. Pictures posted here are from Ship of Fire. Schoolhouse photos will follow in the next post.

Closson Chase Summer 2009

On July 4th 2009, upwards of 200 people were on hand for their Exclusive Summer Release Party. Inside and out people were enjoying hors d'ouvers served by the Waring House and, of course, Closson Chase wines. For musical accompaniment, the Dan Bone Trio played jazz in the garden.

2009 Visitor's Guide

Going back a few months now, to when it wasn't so hot and muggy outside, I photographed the 2009 PEC Visitor's guide. The ugly truth has come out that our photo shoot took place sometime in March and aside from the sunny skies, there wasn't too much summer going on. Our courageous model was Tammy Thompson, who withstood the -8 temperature at 8 am in the morning. The full story can be found on the Buddha Dog blog. The good news is that the cover looks awesome for what was a cold March morning and Tammy has already autographed a copy. If you see her around, she'd be more then happy to provide you with one too!

Fifth Town Cheese's Petra Cooper

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the owner of the amazing Fifth Town Cheese, Petra Cooper and her daughter, for an article in September's edition of Reader's Digest. Being shown the cheese factory and having to shoot down in the cellar's was a lot of fun, although it was difficult to breath at times. It was also great to shoot at Capricorn View Farms in Bloomfield. Sonja and Dino Iannuzzi do an awesome job producing the goats milk used for Fifth Town's cheese. Kids Cuts for Cancer: redux

Here, I revisit the Kids Cuts for Cancer advertisement shoot. While I had the honour of photographing the girls for the ads, the awesomely talented Rene, Michael and Maddi at Scout Design put some Photoshop work into them and produced the colourful images that appeared in the ads.
